How can we apply the logic of ants’ pheromone-based system to move and visualize information in new ways?
Using grasshopper in Rhino, we can parametrically model an array of points and apply a few simple rules to start making those points move and “behave” like ants! The journal below documents 12 aspects of my daily life and health in a visual inspired by radar charts. By first digitizing the journal, we can then combine the journal with the parametric ants, using the journal inputs as the “food” sources for the ants. After running the permutation over 1,000 cycles, a new defined network emerges.
