How can surrealism in biology and physics help us create new systems of unconventional computation?
We are producing an increasing amount of data that may need a radically new system for computing information in the next century or sooner. Biology has beautifully economical solutions for transporting energy, like the jellyfish or a swarm of starlings. Physics has beautiful solutions in the form of crystalline structures across all scales, from the atomic to the galactic.
