People  Passion Network

Personal research
Focus: people
Year: 2021 - present

How can we witness the creation of culture, exchange of ideas, and the birth of new ideas through interactive art?

The People Passion Network (PPN) is an open-ended social-cultural research project that emerged after exploring the architectural concept of follies with Studio Erick Carcamo. The overall form is an ellipse, with the two foci representing “people” (blue) and “passion” (yellow) topics / nodes. Other topics / nodes are “unknown” (pink) and “curious” (green).  Participants that enter the space are handed four sticky notes -- blue, yellow, pink, and green -- and are asked to write down a person they know, something they’re passionate about, something they know nothing about, and something they’re curious about. They then add their notes to the wall and make connections. Afterwards, I started to explore how to sort the information.

I had a lot of fun with this project.
